The Animation Studio's Next Movie Introduces Avatar-Inspired Adventure with Beavers

Pixar has unveiled the preview for its forthcoming animated film, Hoppers, and it showcases a premise that is equally quirky and amusing.

Storyline Summary

The Hoppers Adventure follows a young nature enthusiast named Mabel Tanaka (played by Piper Curda), a teenage animal admirer who develops the power to talk to animals thanks to experimenting with some Avatar-inspired invention created by one of her university professors.

“The conventional methods to comprehend animals just failed,” notes a scientists who created the brain-transfer technology.

The Way The Invention Functions

Dubbed “Hoppers,” the invention basically works just like the neural link system featured in James Cameron's Avatar series movies, with one key difference: Instead of awakening as a giant blue alien, Mabel's mind is moved into a robotic creature body. In particular, a synthetic beaver-body.

Adventure and Cast

Like Avatar protagonist Jake Sully, Mabel soon ends up becoming overly involved with the inhabitants of the animal kingdom, accidentally triggering an creature rebellion led by a majestic butterfly (Meryl Streep) and the leader of the beaver community (Bobby Moynihan), who are determined to “squish the human race.”

In one scene, villain Mayor Jerry (Jon Hamm) is locked in his vehicle by a pair of beavers and a lizard, who then proceed to menace him using his cellphone's speech synthesis feature.

Premiere Date

The Hoppers Movie leaps into cinemas on March 6.
